Survivor Season 48 Recap: Tribes Swap, But Who Went Home?
For the first time this season, the "Survivor" players dropped their buffs and swapped tribes in episode 4, titled "The House Party's Over." The shakeup created three new tribes of five, drastically altering alliances and dynamics. One tribe's poor performance led them straight to Tribal Council.
The Tribe Swap
The original tribes – Civa, Vula, and Lagi – remained in name, but the players changed. While the swap benefited some, it spelled doom for at least one player.

The Immunity Challenge
The immunity challenge tested the tribes' strength and coordination. Vula, despite its new composition, once again finished last, sending them to Tribal Council.

Tribal Council and the Vote
At Tribal Council, alliances shifted and strategies were revealed. Kamilla suspected Thomas of having an advantage, creating further distrust. Kyle, aware he was a target, played his hidden immunity idol, negating votes against him. Ultimately, **Thomas Krottinger** was voted out.
A Look Back at Episode 3
Before the swap, the Vula tribe faced elimination again, leading to another Tribal Council. This time, after a "journey" resulting in lost votes, and a successful "shot in the dark" by Mary Zheng, it was **Justin Pioppi** who was voted out.
