😱 Trader Joe's Sparkling Water RECALL: Is YOUR Bottle Dangerous?! 😱

A major recall has been issued for a popular sparkling water brand sold at Trader Joe's stores across the country. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of approximately 61,500 bottles of Gerolsteiner 750ml sparkling water due to a serious laceration hazard. This isn't just a minor issue; these bottles could crack, potentially causing serious injury.

The recall specifically targets two lots of Gerolsteiner sparkling water with lot numbers 11/28/2024 L or 11/27/2024 L. These lot numbers are located on the lower part of the white, blue, and red label. The affected bottles are sold individually in 750ml glass bottles and in 15-bottle cases. While no injuries have been reported *yet*, the potential risk is significant enough to warrant immediate action.

Which States Are Affected?

The recalled bottles were distributed to Trader Joe's stores in a significant number of states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. If you purchased Gerolsteiner sparkling water from any of these states between December 2024 and January 2025, check your bottles immediately.

What Should You Do?

The CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using any recalled bottles. Do not take any chances! Return the affected bottles to your local Trader Joe's store for a full refund. Don't wait – your safety is paramount.

Why is this happening?

The recall is due to a manufacturing defect that can cause the glass bottles to crack unexpectedly. This could lead to serious cuts and lacerations if the bottle breaks while being handled or opened. The manufacturer, Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG of Germany, is cooperating with the CPSC on the recall.
