OMG! SpaceX Just Launched 26 Starlink Satellites - Witness the Epic Launch!
Get ready to be amazed! SpaceX pulled off another incredible feat, launching 26 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Monday, June 16, 2025. The launch, a spectacle of engineering and precision, marks another significant step in expanding Starlink's global broadband internet network.
The Falcon 9 rocket, on only its third flight, soared into the night sky at 8:36 p.m. PDT (11:36 p.m. EDT). Approximately eight and a half minutes later, the satellites, designated Group 15-9, successfully reached their target orbit. A planned second burn of the Falcon's upper stage further ensured their precise deployment into their operational positions.
But the excitement didn't end there! The first stage of the rocket, impressively, made a successful landing on the droneship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean. This reusable booster, B1093, is now on its third Starlink mission, demonstrating SpaceX's commitment to sustainable space travel. This launch closely followed a similar deployment from Florida, concluding the first generation of SpaceX's direct-to-cell constellation which will provide internet access even to the most remote areas via unmodified cellphones.
This latest launch brings the total number of active Starlink satellites to over 7,760, continuing to expand internet access across the globe. While these satellites didn't have direct-to-cell capabilities, they significantly boost the network's overall capacity and coverage.
